yaesu fc-102 malcomized: Up for sale is a malcomized fc-102 antenna tuner in working condition. I have the original receipt from mal which states all the work he did to the antenna tuner. I never used the tuner inline just bought it so I had all of the acessories for the 102. Serial number 3c080217. Stickers are intact one on each side work was done 6/1/2010. Mal told me tht he has only done a few of these and usually does not put his stickers on them so this is a rare piece. Has some scratches on the top. The Drake MN-4C matching network matches 50 ohm transmitter output to coax antenna feeding with VSWR of at least 5:1. Frequency coverage is: 1.8 to 30 MHz with the band swtich marked for 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters. It can handle transmitters up to 250 watts continuous Carrier. It features an integral wattmeter that reads forward power in watts and VSWR directly; can be calibrated to read reflected power. The rear panel features SO-239 jacks for input and output. 13.2 x 4.5 x 8.5 inches 9 lbs.
For balanced line please use the optional Drake B-1000 balun. The MN-4C is a great companion for your TR-4C.

E.F. Johnson Matchbox Tuner 250-23-3: Nice clean example of the legendary tuner. This is the one rated at 275 watts with a directional coupler. I've owned it since the mid 80's, have rarely used it but made a few contacts yesterday including 17 and 30 meters and it worked perfectly. Built a homebrew tuner matched to my antenna instead.
No mods that I can see other than the bypassing of the t/r relay and someone changed the white pin jack on the coupler to a green one. Paint's in reasonable shape, the rubber feet are intact, switches and caps work correctly and the knobs are correct. If you want the decal for the rear panel, you can buy one for $5 from http://www.boatanchor.com/k7osk/index.htm
