Help and advice needed: Has anyone painted counterpoise/radials that are above ground with a non reflective paint, either spray paint or paint in a can both of which are formulated for aluminum? Krylon has a flat black aerosol camouflage paint (none in a can); Rustoleum has both aerosol spray paint and paint in a can.
Some paints can contain flakes of metal in the formulation. Most aluminum needs to be primed first with an etching paint, then painted. There are DTM direct to metal paints that need no primer.
I have a Zero Five 40-10 vertical GP with an UNUN. My XYL doesn’t like the shinny counterpoise; hence the need for paint.
Will paint effect the performance of the vertical and the counterpoise?
Any advice would be appreciated.

For Sale: Array Solutions StackMaster: The Array Solutions StackMaster was a phasing system for stacking 2, 3 or 4 monoband Yagis. It uses 1/4wl coaxal phasing lines so it only works on a single HF band of your choice (it's not for stacking tribanders). I used this system on 20m and I have the coax lines for that band however coax lines can be easily made or purchased for other bands. I do not have the original controller but I made a rotary switch for switching up to three Yagis. I believe that there are commercial push button switches that would also work with this relay phasing box. For Sale: Mosley TW-34XL WARC tribander: FS-Mosley TW-34XL WARC (30, 17 & 12 meters) triband beam, 4 elements on a 24 foot boom. The antenna is basically complete with original instruction sheets but there may be a few small stainless steel self tapping screws, nuts or washers that may have gone missing and a couple of the trap plastic end caps have cracked. The antenna has been stored in my barn for the last few years. It is partially disassembled with the longest pieces being 13 feet. I’m not sure if it can be broken down any farther as sometimes the telescoping aluminum tubing sections don’t want to come apart. This is a pick-up item only located in Parma, Michigan.
