FS: Viking Challenger Unbuilt Kit: This is a NIB, Viking Challenger Kit. I bought it about 10 years and its been stored in temp/humidity controlled environment (shack). The top flap of the box was lost at some time. I was going to build it myself but had too many other radio projects. Now, I need to downsize and let others enjoy the radio. It has not been removed from the box, at least I don't see how I could remove it without damaging the wrapper paper, etc. or ever getting it back into the same box.
I prefer local pickup (Westchester County, NY) so we can remove everything from the box to meet your expectations but if you want it shipped then I will get actual UPS/Fedex costs for your QTH.. I would recommend throwing out the NOS caps and replacing with modern caps.

WTB GLAXY OR HYGAIN RV-550 REMOTE VFO: Prefer the Hy Gain RV-550A VFO, but will accept the WRL Galaxy RV-550. Face must be in excellent condition.

Collins 51s-1 Receiver: Unit is in working condition but 3 mhz band crystal may be defective. Overall alignment may be needed to improve s/n ratio on some or all bands. The origonal pilot light behind the MHz window was replaced with a LED unit which greatly improved the visability but can be completely reversed to the origonal lighting if desirable. No extra holes were put on outside of unit and only a few were put on the inside at chassis supports. All removed parts will be included along with a bindered manual. Outside of cabinet and front panel is in very good shape with no noticeable dings, dents, or scratches. For picture send e-mail address to me and I will send pic of the unit. (Cant get it on qth).
