Yaesu FT-897D & FC-30 $450.00 Free Ship: It is a Japanese radio with the Japanese band plan specs, expect it must have been modified somewhat as it does all the ARRL band plan frequencies just fine. This is a Japanese radio and it only puts out 50watts on all HF bands and with 2meter where it transmits on 144-146 and 70cm from 430-440. The VHF/UHF power outputs are normal. That actually didn’t effect me much as I used a 2meter 440 mobile rig for that.
The FC-30 automatic antenna tuner works perfect except it doesn’t have the hardware to attach it to the side of the radio which didn’t matter as I sat it behind my monitor out of sight. This also includes the RT Systems programming software CD and programming cable (a $54.00 value on eBay) and the FC-30 connection cable.
As I checked on eBay for prices on these two items I found it to be an average low price of $908.00 and a high average of $1,020.00 so for $450.00 or BEST OFFER with free shipping this is a very good deal. Flex 6500: This radio has an interesting history. It originally was going to be used on Bouvet Island by the 3Y0Z group in 2018. It was on the boat that reached the Island but never reached land.
The radio was been installed at my remote location for the past 5 years with fine performance. I've upgraded to a newer model so this one is excess to my needs.
It has 4.1.5 SDR software installed and can update it to latest before delivery. It will come with a new 12V power pole power cord, CAT cable, and FHM-3 Flex hand mic.
This radio includes a balanced XLR jack on the rear panel, 4 slice receiver and the ATU installed.
