This is the highly sought-after ‘Made in Japan’ model from early 2003 or 2004.

I have a very lightly used Yaesu FT-2800 VHF Mobile Radio for sale in excellent condition. It looks like it just came off the showroom floor. It works flawlessly and puts out a whopping 65 watts. This rig does 2 meters of analog FM and has many great audio reports. It comes with the full power cable, a mobile bracket, and the Yaesu MH-48 hand microphone (in perfect shape). It doesn’t have the box or documentation.

Excellent ergonomics, very easy to understand controls.
I used an FT-221 for years in the January VHF Sweepstakes, loved its' performance.
FOR PARTS OR REPAIR No audio on receive.
Transmit testing showed 14 watts out on FM.
Receiver is working, you can see the needle move, BUT
no audio comes out. I tried an external speaker and earphones, nothing.
So being sold FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.
Top cover is missing one of the buttons that hold it in place.
See photos in my eBay ad, there are scratches on the case.
Includes FT-221 transceiver, hand microphone, AC power cord, and new Owner's manual.
