Heading: | FS: VIKING VALIANT, HQ180 w S-200 spkr |
Ad Message: | Very nice, working vintage Viking Valiant 100W HF ( 80-10 meter ) amateur/ham transmitter, Hammarlund HQ180 HF receiver with matching Hammarlund S-200 speaker, also working well. Cabinets and paint are in excellent shape. Classic vintage ham AM station. The Valiant's electrolytic caps have been replaced, the rectifiers have been changed from 866s to a new pair of 3B28 rectifiers, and the infamous "chernobyl" resistor in the VFO compartment has been replaced. Otherwise no mods to the circuit that I could detect. Transmitter puts out 100 -120 watts of carrier. Sounds good on AM. Everything works as it should on the HQ180, including the clock. Have manuals for both units. Take the three pieces ( transmitter, receiver, and speaker ) for $575. You need to supply your own microphone ( D104 crystal mic works well ) More pictures on request. Pickup only in Anderson township area of Cincinnati. The transmitter is quite heavy ( 80 lbs ? ). |
