| Ad Message: | Has anyone painted counterpoise/radials that are above ground with a non reflective paint, either spray paint or paint in a can both of which are formulated for aluminum? Krylon has a flat black aerosol camouflage paint (none in a can); Rustoleum has both aerosol spray paint and paint in a can. Some paints can contain flakes of metal in the formulation. Most aluminum needs to be primed first with an etching paint, then painted. There are DTM direct to metal paints that need no primer. I have a Zero Five 40-10 vertical GP with an UNUN. My XYL doesn’t like the shinny counterpoise; hence the need for paint. Will paint effect the performance of the vertical and the counterpoise? Any advice would be appreciated. 73 Bob |
