AMPHF - METRON MA-1000b mobile amplifier For sale is my excellent condition Metron mobile amplifier. It covers 160-15 meters and produces 600+ watts from a 13.6 volt supply (battery or a power supply capable of 70 Amps minimum). I used it as my base amplifier and powered it from an Astron 70 amp supply and it worked beautifully. This amplifier is built like a tank using four pairs of MRF454 transistors in push-pull for a conservative 600 watt output rating. Heavy-duty individual bandswitched output filters ensure a clean, low distortion signal. Check online reviews for this amp....it is very highly rated and extremely sought after. It can be remotely operated (On-Off function and bandswitching) with a fairly easy to build remote switching box. Schematics for this box are available online.
