HEATHKIT SB 220: THIS UNIT IS A HEATHKIT SB 220 1KW AMPLIFIER. IT HAS BEEN SHELFED FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS WITH NO INTEREST IN ANY REPAIR. THE PERSON THAT HAD IT SAID IT DID OPERATE THEN SUDDENLY JUST QUIT AND HE TRIED TO FIGURE WHAT DIED BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. LAST WEEK I GAVE THE TUBES TO MY NEIGHBOR TO TEST IN HIS AMPLIFIER WHICH USES THE SAME TUBES: PAIR OF EIMAC 3-500Z AND HE TOLD ME BOTH WERE TESTED GOOD AND UP TO POWER.A NEW HARBAUGH P/S BOARD WITH NEW COMPONENTS WAS INSTALLED ALONG WITH A SOLID STATE OR TUBE PTT DRIVER PROTECT UNIT.
HE OFFERED TO BUY THE TUBES BUT I HELD OFF EVEN THOU THE OFFER WAS GOOD. THIS UNIT HAS A NEW BLACK FRONT PANEL. AND IT IS IN GOOD CONDX. MAUAL IS INCLUDED. THIS UNIT DOES NOT WORK AND I AM NOT AWARE OF ITS PROBLEM. SO IT WILL BE SOLD AS IS AND NO RETURNS. PREVIOUS OWNER ASSURED ME THAT ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT AND NOTHING WAS REMOVED. NOTE: I WILL BE AT THE MELBOURNE HAMFEST ON OCTOBER 10 & 11 AND CAN DELIVER IT THERE.
