  HELP SUPPORT QTH.COM & QSL.NET
3
"QSL.net was started in 1996 by Al Waller, K3TKJ [SK] and ran continuously until Al retired at the end of 2008.
In early January 2009, Scott Neader, KA9FOX and George Fremin, K5TR stepped forward to keep the service going. All QSL.net services were then moved to new hardware located at a large US data center.
Today, QSL.net [1] hosts over 39,000 web sites, over 58,000 e-mail forwarding accounts, over 600 mailing lists [2]and provides bandwidth and hardware for N6RT's DX Services (including log searches for over 20 million QSOs) [3] This is all done at NO COST to amateur radio operators and organizations, although donations are encouraged and very much appreciated. This free service is truly a valuable tool for amateur radio, especially for the DX community. INDEXA is supporting 'QSL.net'. Please support 'QSL.net'". [Bob Schenck, N2OO, Vice-President INDEXA]

 Scam alert
I was recently contacted by a person purporting to be Ron Hill N4sfu but the wording was suspicious so I emailed Ron and he replied that it wasn’t him so beware and if anything is off don’t trust them.

 Beware Buyers
Just what I noticed as a new tactic with scammers. Notice scammers are coming across with call signs, names and email address. Notice these are primarily gmail address. Pay attention, these gmail address can't be found on the QRZ look up page, therefore you can't confirm you're talking to the real owner of the call sign. Those call sign don't have an email listed. Scammer are using these call signs to achieve their scam. Beware!!

 SHIPPING USING USPS "MEDIA MAIL"
I know many of us mail books and magazines, Handbooks, Callbooks and old catalogs using the US Postal Service's MEDIA MAIL (also often referred to as Book Rate). I was made aware by my local Post Office clerk that mailing items that contains advertising, EVEN OLD ADS, is not allowed using Media Mail.
-
THE USPS PROHIBITS MAILING ITEMS BY MEDIA MAIL (PRINTED MATTER) THAT CONTAINS ANY ADVERTISING, even if the ads are really old ads (such as in old QSTs, Callbooks, and the older ARRL Handbooks). You can try to mail items with ads using Media Mail, but if the PO catches it (and the PO has the right to open Media Mail packages/envelopes to check the contents), you, or the recipient, may get a bill for the difference in postage between Media Mail and the lowest price other mail service, such as GROUND ADVANTAGE.
-
See this USPS link on Media Mail, Section 4.0 and 4.1.a. at http://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/173.htm
