This is NOT really a Net, but I’d like to take a moment to have a cup of coffee with you. I will check in with each station one by one for a short QSO. I’ll probably ask a lot of questions and encourage you to share your thoughts. Most likely, I’ll drink a boatload of coffee! Once we finish our conversation, I'll move on to the next station.

Please note that connections won’t allow until 5:50 AM (1050 UTC).

 For Sale “The Ham Bands”
Once a Gentleman’s hobby the social format is changing more like a social media internet platform with a political/religious agenda with a hateful message by hams to hams will have a negative impact on how others outside this hobby perceive us as a community. Why would you’d think others like lobbyists will take us seriously about ham radio needs when many people don’t know how to communicate positive messages between each other. We’re loosing our professional voice regarding the radio hobby in some cases and replacing it with something else that we may regret in the future. Be professional and use kindness when on the air or we may loose our RF spectrum to the corporate institutions who’d sell us out.

 ARRL Grassroots HOA Campaign
ARRL has launched a nationwide grassroots campaign aimed at securing the passage of federal legislation that would grant Amateur Radio Operators the same rights to install antennas on their property as those enjoyed by users of TV antennas, wireless internet, and flagpoles.
.
To advance the legislation, ARRL is calling on its members and all licensees of the US Amateur Radio Service to take action by sending letters to their congressional representatives. Through a dedicated online tool at https://arrl.org/HOA/, hams can easily generate and submit pre-drafted letters with a few clicks.
.
Please join me in clicking the link to support this effort.

 HELP SUPPORT QTH.COM & QSL.NET

[2]
"QSL.net was started in 1996 by Al Waller, K3TKJ and ran continuously until Al retired at the end of 2008.
In early January 2009, Scott Neader, KA9FOX and George Fremin, K5TR stepped forward to keep the service going. All QSL.net services were then moved to new hardware located at a large US data center.
Today, QSL.net [1] hosts over 39,000 web sites, over 58,000 e-mail forwarding accounts, over 600 mailing lists [2]and provides bandwidth and hardware for N6RT's DX Services (including log searches for over 20 million QSOs) [3] This is all done at NO COST to amateur radio operators and organizations, although donations are encouraged and very much appreciated. This free service is truly a valuable tool for amateur radio, especially for the DX community. INDEXA is supporting 'QSL.net'. Please support 'QSL.net'". [Bob Schenck, N2OO, Vice-President INDEXA]

 "Scammer Alert"
Here is the latest what scammers are doing that happen to me so be aware. I got two different emails saying that they had the same item I have advertised on QTH.com for sale and did I want to buy it. The emails were from different Gmail accounts. Both had email addresses slightly different from the associated amateur radio call. One even had an “O” in it rather than a “0” which showed it was from a scammer and not the actual ham. So now why are they doing this? It’s to get you to respond and verify that your email address is valid. That way they can slightly alter it along with your call to scam hams either out of their equipment or money. Unfortunately, I responded to one of the emails telling the person I had the item for sale not wanting to purchase it. So be careful. Since it is very easy to get a Gmail account that’s why scammers use Gmail. A lot hams sell equipment on QTH.com so verify any email address that responds to your ad.

 ****** SCAM ALERT ********
Be aware of a scammer using callsign W2BLM, email address w2blmham at gmail.com, or phone number 341-529-0234. He will respond to WANT TO BUY ads with a quote from an eHam review to show he knows about what you are looking for. W2BLM doesn't show an email address on QRZ. His email respones are routed through a VPN located in New York, the phone number is in California, and the QRZ address is in Detroit.
